Description EXOTIC Origins/History: Psilocybe ochraceocentrata syringes contain cloned culture from a new favorite exotic species, Ps. ochraceocentrata. Ps. ochraceocentrata originates from the Natal region of Africa and was described in 1995. Genetic sequencing verified that it is a separate species from Psilocybe cubensis although it shares many characteristics and is the closest known relative. Many who have studied Ps. ochraceocentrata have expressed a high level of satisfaction over its sister species, Ps. cubensis. Ps. ochraceocentrata has also been known as natalensis super strain and Psilocybe natalensis in the past. In December 2024 this species was renamed to Ps. ochraceocentrata and was formerly known as Psilocybe natalensis; this is also written as Ps. ochraceocentrata (aff. Psilocybe natalensis). The Psilocybe natalensis offered through MushroomManMycology in the past is actually Psilocybe ochraceocentrata. Nothing has changed with the genetics, it has just been renamed. Get your hands on a Ps. ochraceocentrata culture syringe today and compare to the other spores in your collection. This is a clone isolate liquid culture. Psilocybe ochraceocentrata may be shortened to Ps. ochra. Recommended Expertise: 4-7 out of a 1-10 scale Intermediate/Experienced All spore syringes are for microscopy/art/collection purposes only. Each spore syringe is 10 mL and comes capped with a separate sterile 18 g needle. Each syringe comes with a collector’s card print out that has the batch date the syringe was produced. Due to environmental, genetic, and other conditions, the phenotype contained within the spores may be different than the collector’s card image. All varieties, especially mutant ones, are vetted to ensure the correct genetics are being sold.
