How do you choose health? Is that even a possibility? These fascinating questions can be answered in several different ways. For healthy people, it is either an active choice or a continuation of a generational health journey started by one or both of their parents. Alternatively, it may have been a decision to play a particular sport that started you on your fitness journey, culminating in developing healthy habits you maintained throughout your life. Or, could it be simply that poor health brought you to a point where changing the habits of a lifetime was essential for you to live a longer life or a better quality of life? If it is the latter, then let me tell you that living longer is not a better option; living longer with a better quality of life and a healthier lifestyle filled with energy and passion is unquestionably the best possible outcome. Being overweight adversely affected my health, resulting in kidney disease, high blood pressure, type-2 diabetes, heart attack, stroke, cardiovascular diseases, prostate cancer, and other minor but debilitating medical problems. It caused me to fail as the head of my family, placed unnecessary personal and emotional pressure on my wife and daughters and brought me to self-harm and attempted suicide. I had no joy or passion and fell into passive survival. Health is a Choice, and I decided to do whatever it took to improve my health in September 2021 when I chose to stand up and be counted to change the lifestyle habits that dragged me to a point where I was existing. I had to lose the weight that was slowly killing me and reverse all the medical conditions sucking my life force from my body.
